Global Game Jam 2025 at JSID Wraps Up with 15 Incredible Games

New Delhi, 31^th January 2025: JS Institute of Design (JSID), a new-age design institute in New Delhi turned its campus into a creative playground from January 23rd to 25th as it hosted the Global Game Jam 2025, the world’s largest game creation event. Over the course of 48 hours, 57+ passionate jammers formed more than 10 teams, working together to bring 15 unique games to life. The event, which drew 60+ registrations, showcased the power of collaboration, creativity, and determination in the world of game design.  

Three standout creations emerged as winners in Delhi: Bubble of Life received the award for Best Theme Interpretation, Puck Puck Puck won for Best Gameplay, and Bablu Bhayankar was recognized for its exceptional art design. These games not only impressed the judges but also highlighted the immense talent of the local gaming community.  

Reflecting on the event, Nien Siao, Dean of JS Institute of Design, said, “The key for tomorrow’s designers lies in artistic vision. Events like the Global Game Jam give young creators the chance to turn their bold ideas into reality. It’s inspiring to see so much talent and enthusiasm coming together to shape the future of gaming.”  

The Global Game Jam is much more than a competition. It’s an opportunity for aspiring game developers to connect, share ideas, and learn from one another. For JSID students, it was a chance to work alongside industry professionals, explore new techniques, and gain practical experience in game development.  

With India’s gaming industry growing at an impressive rate, events like these provide the perfect platform for students and young developers to step into the spotlight. By hosting the Global Game Jam, JSID has once again demonstrated its commitment to nurturing creativity, fostering collaboration, and preparing its students for careers in this dynamic and exciting field.  

The weekend ended with a celebration of creativity, innovation, and teamwork, leaving participants inspired to take their ideas to the next level.
