Surat, Gujarat – Dr. Snehal Patel, a leading pediatric cardiologist and a trailblazer in congenital and structural cardiac interventions in South Gujarat, recently led a transformative session titled “Where Do We Stand Today in Paediatric Cardiology in South Gujarat?” The event, organized by the Surat Pediatrician Association (SPACT), was part of the prestigious Dr. Bipin Desai Oration and Cardiology CME, addressing advancements and challenges in pediatric cardiology.

 

Dr. Patel shared insights on cutting-edge procedures, including:

Balloon valvuloplasty for Aortic Stenosis, Pulmonary Stenosis, and Coarctation of the Aorta

 

Rare interventions like Stenting of Interrupted Aortic Arch and Thrombosuction with Balloon Angioplasty in a post-COVID pediatric case with coronary artery occlusion

 

Dr. Patel, the region’s only expert in non-surgical critical cardiac interventions like ductal stenting, stressed the need for enhanced healthcare infrastructure to meet the rising demand for specialized pediatric cardiac care.
