Today WFH or hybrid work is fairly common and this has expanded the horizon of work from anywhere. Hence, it makes sense to invest in a suburban home. If it largely consists of Hybrid or remote work culture.

In 2024, there has been a surge in house sales in the suburban segment. This can be contributed to factors like Rising disposable income and lifestyle choices.

The charm of suburban homes lies in their strategic location and eco-friendly features. The suburban homes are usually built on large spaces in a green area. This makes it easy to customize it according to one’s taste. Such liberty isn’t available in flats where the space crunch is a common issue. A suburban home is ideal for someone who wants to commute less to town and work from the comfort of home.

However, the connectivity angle has also boosted the appeal of suburban homes. Unlike the earlier times where connectivity was less. The appeal of suburban homes dampened. But this is no longer the case. Better connectivity to cities through highways has boosted sales in suburban areas. The connectivity has made it easy to travel from suburban areas for work through highways, connecting roads and buses. This has drawn investors from India as well as abroad who wish to invest in such homes and reap dividends later.

Land availability is the biggest selling factor for such homes in the Indian realty. People want to live in big homes with huge open spaces. This is not available in cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru. Therefore, a home in suburban areas with a personal office and working space makes sense and is beneficial too.
