Led by a rebellious vocal with both attitude and range, Shaan Kambli’s music is a raw blend of upbeat grooves infused with the classic live-band sound. From busking on the streets of London to performing live at Sunburn, his journey has been one of persistence and fearless experimentation.
A finalist in two national talent hunts by the age of 21—Nexa Music Labs in association with A.R. Rahman and JioSaavn Spotted in association with Warner Music India—Shaan has always written, sung, and produced his music independently. His original work has also earned him the Silver Medal from The Musician’s Company of England, alongside honorable mentions in top global songwriting contests like the USA Songwriting Competition and Unsigned Only.
“Outcome must never cage you.” That’s the mantra running through his music—stories of conflict and resilience, unified by his signature carefree attitude. To Shaan, it reflects life itself: things may not always go as planned, but how we feel about ourselves is in our own hands.
His passion for music ignited with the recording of his first EP in high school. It was further fueled when, at 18, he left for Berklee College of Music and later London School of Music, where he graduated with first-class honors in Music Performance & Record Production.
Inspired by Maroon 5 and their frontman Adam Levine, Shaan’s music is vocal-driven and built on live instrumentation, creating an authentic band sound. But his journey as a singer has had its share of highs and lows. His biggest breakthrough came in the summer of 2023, when after returning from the UK, he gave himself the freedom to experiment fearlessly. “I made some very loud mistakes during that time,” he laughs, “but that’s what has helped me grow the most.”
Beyond the studio, Shaan’s personality shines through his signature red pants, his bond with local stray dogs, and his high-spirited connection with fans. “I am with my listeners as I am with myself—real and free. If my music makes someone feel stronger, I’ve done my job.”
