Ravi Kumar S, CEO, Cognizant , has been selected to receive the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) for his contribution to the field of Business ( IT & Consulting ) . The award is the highest honor conferred on Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin ( PIOs ). Hon’ble President of India will present the award during the Valedictory Session of the Convention on January 9, 2025 and Ravi is among 27 exceptional awardees chosen for this prestigious accolade. The award will be presented during the Eighteenth Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention, scheduled to be held from January 8-10, 2025, in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, his (Ravi’s) home state .
The PBSA is awarded based on the recommendations of a Jury-cum-Awards Committee chaired by the Vice President of India, with the Minister of External Affairs as the Vice-Chair. The awardees represent the excellence achieved by the Indian diaspora in various fields .
