PhoolTea: A Unique Floral Infusion That’s Captivating India’s Taste Buds

Balasore, Odisha, India, November 07, 2024: Tea is the universal symbol of hospitality. In India, however, it is an emotion. It is more than a beverage, it is moments of warmth, connection, and comfort. PhoolTea, a brand taking tea lovers on a magical and immersive journey, is gaining traction across India. Enjoying love from celebrities of popular Indian television shows like Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Khichdi, this brand is transforming the wellness and beverage space.

The tea time ritual has been practiced in India for a long. Be it a chilly winter afternoon calling for a warm cup of tea or the scorching sun, making one crave for iced-brews, tea is the perfect companion for all. Sunil Kumar Panda, a man who dedicated his life to public service, thought of revolutionizing the tea experience. After serving as a dedicated police officer for years, he retired and went on to launch PhoolTea in 2024. The brand stands out in its truly unique offering of flower-infused teas.

It all started with a seemingly ordinary trip to buy flowers during the Saavan month. Sunil was struck by the high prices of flowers, sparking a curiosity that would lead him to explore their medicinal uses. Alongside his son, Adarsh Panda, a software engineer at Oracle, Sunil immersed himself in researching different flowers and their potential health benefits. The turning point came when Adarsh’s uncle, an Ayurvedic doctor, suggested flower-infused teas to Sunil, for their therapeutic properties.

Intrigued by the idea, Sunil began drinking these teas. The entire experience of flowering tea left him feeling fulfilled. It was more than taste. It was equally about the aroma, sight, and flavor. With a sip at every cup, he quickly noticed improvements in his energy and mood. Motivated by his positive transformation, he felt inspired to share these health benefits with others. With care at the core, he and his team crafted a range of flower-based teas, suitable for the unique Indian palate. And so, PhoolTea was born in Odisha.

Butterfly Peas, Hibiscus, Rose, and Jasmine, form a delightful range of teas at this unique brand. These flowers are known for their extraordinary medicinal value, and once soaked in hot water, they release it. The petals unfurl in hot water and bloom in the sipper’s cup. Although it may seem simple, it required a great deal of effort. “After months of research, testing, and refining, we introduced these flagship teas,” shares the founder. Each blend was designed to boost energy, stabilize mood, and support overall wellness. Today it has garnered positive feedback from over 300 professionals, including scientists, CAs, and politicians.

The brand amassed over 250 loyal customers by August 2024, proving its growing popularity. It’s not just about the taste; it’s the stories shared over a cup, the moments of connection, and the health benefits that unfold in every cup. As Sunil Panda sums it up, “Now we’re on a mission to reshape India’s tea culture, sip by sip and story by story.”
