Kodaikanal, January 17, 2025 – In A Remarkable Display Of Community Service And Cultural Celebration, The NBS People Rights Corporation And Nam Bharatha Sevai Charitable Trust Hosted A Vibrant Pongal Festival At Poombarai Village, Nestled In The Picturesque Hills Of Kodaikanal, Tamil Nadu. Over 1,000 Tribal People, Including Elders, Single-Parent Women, And Children, Gathered To Enjoy The Festivities And Benefit From The Charitable Support Provided. The Event Aimed To Bring Joy And Unity While Addressing The Needs Of Underprivileged Families In The Region.
The Celebration Was Led By NBS Founder & President Dr. N. BALA SARAVANAN And Graced By The Presence Of Distinguished Guests, DSP Mrs. MADHUMATHI From Kodaikanal And Poombarai Forest Officer Mr. KALIMUTHU. Essential Items Were Distributed To The Community, Including Sarees For Elderly Women And Single-Parent Mothers, Dhotis For Men And Books & Stationery Kits For Children To Encourage Education. A Festive Meal Of Sweet Pongal Was Shared, Symbolizing Unity And Togetherness.
