Indore, 25th June 2024: Amazon.in today announced over 25% YoY growth across Home, Kitchen, and Outdoors business in Madhya Pradesh and Indore with close to 30% growth in new customers from the state. In these regions, customers have shown an inclination towards healthier, cleaner, convenient, and upgraded lifestyles that have led to a surge in demand for products such as robotic vacuums, gym fitness accessories, home security products, and much more. Moreover, Indore has upheld its reputation as the cleanest city, experiencing more than 100% YoY growth in the consumption of cleaning supplies. Additionally, owing to the nationwide cricket craze, Amazon.in is seeing close to an 80% spike for cricket essentials, with bats alone growing 2X YoY in Madhya Pradesh.

Additionally, customers from Indore contribute to more than 30% of all EV sales from the state
• Customers are switching towards automated and smart living: Customers are upgrading to automated home cleaning products such as robotic vacuums and accessories resulting in an increase of over 50% in Madhya Pradesh and 70% in Indore. Also, customers are choosing digital door locks, video doorbells, security cameras, and more to ensure tighter and smarter security, resulting in an increase of 60% YoY in the state
• Rising preference for high-quality and elegant home furnishings: Indore has witnessed close to 35% YoY growth across the large furniture category. Additionally, the region has seen a remarkable surge in demand for small and emerging furniture such as dressing tables, folding chairs and bar furniture by 135%, 110% and 70%, respectively
• Growing interest in fitness and wellness: Another interesting trend witnessed in Madhya Pradesh is the uptick in demand for home gym setups, with the sale of home treadmills rising over 50% YoY. Additionally, customers in the state are choosing Yoga as a viable fitness & mindfulness practice with Yoga essentials growing by 75% YoY. Also, Indore has witnessed over 50% increase in demand for swimming products, reflecting customers’ inclination towards recreational activities to beat the scorching heat
• Demand for Agriculture and Industrial products soars: Close to 45% YoY increase in the demand for agriculture tools was witnessed in the state, highlighting a new trend amongst customers switching towards Amazon.in to fulfill their agricultural needs
