“Krispy Rishtey” Released on Jio Cinema: A 15-Song Feature Directed by Jagat Singh, Produced by Sagar Shrivastwa

Mumbai: Hindi cinema audiences are increasingly embracing films with fresh narratives and captivating titles, and Krispy Rishtey, now streaming on Jio Cinema, is a perfect example. True to its title, this film offers a vibrant and engaging cinematic experience. A press conference for Krispy Rishtey, written and directed by Jagat Singh and produced by Sagar Shrivastwa, was recently held in Mumbai. The event was graced by the producer, director, and lead cast, including Diljott, Manmeet Kaur, and Brijendra Kala, along with the film’s music composer and singers. Jagat Singh, besides directing, also stars in the lead role.

A defining aspect of Krispy Rishtey is its remarkable soundtrack, which features 15 songs performed by some of Bollywood’s most celebrated singers. One standout track is the unforgettable contribution by the late KK. The film’s music is elevated by the exceptional talents of Shreya Ghoshal, Mohit Chauhan, Papon, the Sabri Brothers, Jubin Nautiyal, Nakash Aziz, Richa Sharma, and Altamash Faridi.

Jagat Singh, known for his roles in Prakash Jha’s Lipstick Under My Burkha and Jai Gangaajal, is a Jaipur native who makes his directorial debut with Krispy Rishtey. In addition to writing and directing the film, he also stars as the lead. Reflecting on the project, Jagat revealed that Krispy Rishtey was originally conceived as a short film. However, after producer Sagar Shrivastwa joined the team, the project evolved into a full-length feature. Despite the many challenges faced during the process, Jagat expressed deep gratitude to Shrivastwa for his continuous support, and today the film is streaming successfully on Jio Cinema.

Sagar Shrivastwa, a native of Muzaffarpur, Bihar, makes his debut as a producer with Krispy Rishtey. Deeply emotional at the release of his first film, Sagar expressed sincere gratitude to the director, cast, and the entire team for their dedication and hard work in bringing the project to life.

Director and actor Jagat Singh described Krispy Rishtey as an emotional tale that explores the nuances and complexities of relationships, promising to strike a chord with the audience. Though the film features 15 songs, none are lip-synced. Instead, the songs are woven into the narrative, acting as dialogues or background scores that drive the story forward.

Produced by Strike Films and Prime Omkara Productions, Krispy Rishtey boasts a talented ensemble cast, with standout performances from Jagat Singh, Diljott, Manmeet Kaur, Murli Sharma, Brijendra Kala, Shruti Ulfat, Bhupesh Singh, Ashok Kumar Beniwal, Ravi Jhankal, Payal Wadhwa, and Ronit Kapill, each playing pivotal roles.
