Mumbai’s most vibrant cultural extravaganza, the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, is all set to witness a historic moment as senior citizens take center stage for the first time in its 25-year history. In a groundbreaking performance titled Kahani Abhi Baaki Hai, choreographed by the celebrated Sandip Soparrkar in association with Gen S Life—a dedicated platform for senior citizens—this event promises to be a celebration of dance, music, and intergenerational unity.
Brinda Miller, Honorary Chairperson of the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival, expressed her excitement about this unique showcase:
“Kala Ghoda Arts Festival has always been about inclusivity, creativity, and celebrating the arts in all forms. This year, we are thrilled to welcome senior citizens to the stage, proving that passion knows no age. Kahani Abhi Baaki Hai is more than just a performance—it is an inspiration to all generations.”
What makes this performance truly special is its fusion of nostalgia and new beginnings. Set to the soulful voice of Usha Uthup, the show is more than just a dance recital—it’s a statement that age is no barrier to passion, rhythm, and self-expression. The senior performers, each bringing their own life experiences and infectious energy, will showcase the joy that dance brings, proving that the stage belongs to those who dare to dream, regardless of age.
Renowned choreographer Sandip Soparrkar, known for blending dance with powerful storytelling, shared his thoughts:
“Dance is a universal language, and Kahani Abhi Baaki Hai is a testament to that. Working with these incredible seniors has been an enriching experience—they bring grace, wisdom, and an undeniable zest for life. This performance is not just about movement; it’s about celebrating the spirit of living fully, at any age.”
For two unmissable evenings, on January 30 and February 1 at 5:30 PM at the Cross Maidan Main Stage, audiences will be treated to an inspiring display of grace, resilience, and enthusiasm. The performance aims to redefine perceptions of aging, turning the spotlight on a generation that refuses to fade into the background.
With Kahani Abhi Baaki Hai, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival is setting a new precedent—one where talent and passion transcend time. Don’t miss this spectacular showcase of spirit and rhythm, where experience meets enthusiasm, and the story continues to unfold!
