India’s Top Influencers are falling in love with Reelies
Influencers often showcase creativity on social media, but few get to explore their acting potential. That’s changing with the launch of a new app – Reelies, India’s first short drama platform launched by the trio of Anshuman Misraa, Anshumali Jha, and Mridul Toolsidas.
Co-founder Anshuman Misraa told us that “Reels mein Series…Reelies — The idea is to seamlessly blend the reel format everyone loves with the storytelling of web series for audiences to get hooked.”
Big names like Riyaz Aly, Vishal Panday, Sameeksha Sud, Akriti Negi, Angel Rai, Adnan Shaikh and rising talents such as Riva Arora and Beauty Khan, Ashish Bhatia, Deepak Joshi, Lucky Dancer, Jashwanth Bopanna, Bhavin Bhanushali and Sanika Bhoite have already filmed for their Reelies. These influencers, who are seen in their real persona on social media, will get to experiment with genres like romance, comedy, and even supernatural.
“More than a platform for social media fame, Reelies fosters creativity and artistic growth, giving influencers a unique opportunity to act in stories that resonate with millions.” Says co-founder Mridul Toolsidas (National Award Winning Film Director)
The platform is now live on Apple App Store and Google Play Store. To kickstart this new world, Reelies has launched 2 shows – Contract Marriage & Bruh, which will be followed by 4 other Reelies to stream over the coming weeks, keeping the audiences glued to the app. However, inside sources tell us the target is to create 70+ shows in the first year and then skyrocket.
“Reelies is the perfect place for social media stars to give their fans more than a reel. It’s their big break into the larger world of entertainment,” shared co-founder Anshumali Jha With Reelies redefining storytelling by merging fast-paced content with deep emotional connections, this opens up avenues for the world to adapt to a new format, and the possibilities are endless.
The stage is set—who will step into the spotlight next?
