Future University Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh’s pioneering educational institution, successfully hosted the Future Olympics 2025, a two-day mega sporting event that brought together athletes from various disciplines. The grand closing ceremony witnessed the presence of legendary Indian cricketer Nayan Mongia, who inspired young athletes with his words of wisdom.
Speaking at the event, Nayan Mongia emphasized the importance of perseverance, teamwork, and sportsmanship. “Sports teach discipline, resilience, and leadership—qualities essential for success in life. Future University Bareilly is doing an exceptional job in fostering these values among students,” he remarked.
A Showcase of Talent and Determination
The Future Olympics 2025 featured an array of competitions, including cricket, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, chess, shot put, javelin throw, relay races, and sprint events. Students from different academic programs displayed their sporting prowess, competing with passion and determination.
The event recognized top performers across multiple sports categories, with students setting new benchmarks of excellence. The cricket championship witnessed an electrifying final, where B.Tech Computer Science emerged victorious. Amaan Ansari (B.Tech CSE) was declared the Man of the Series, while Anees Ahmad (B.Tech ECE) clinched the Man of the Match title for his exceptional performance. Harsh Saxena (B.Tech) was awarded Best Bowler, and Mukul Dwivedi (B.Tech) earned the Best Fielder title.
In athletics, Sheena Gangwar (GNM) dominated the track events, winning the 100-mete sprint and securing the Best Female Athlete award. Ruchi Yadav (B.Tech) excelled in the 200-meter race, while Anshuman Mishra (MBA) showcased his endurance to claim the 400-meter gold medal and was honored as the Best Male Athlete. Harsh Saxena (B.Tech) sprinted his way to victory in the 100-meter men’s race, demonstrating incredible speed and agility.
The basketball championship saw B.Tech CSE securing the men’s title, while B.Pharm dominated the women’s category. B.Tech CSE also showcased their prowess in men’s volleyball, emerging victorious in a thrilling final. The women’s relay team from B.Pharm displayed impeccable coordination to clinch gold, while the men’s relay race was won by the B.Tech team.
In racket sports, Shagun Pandey (BBA) displayed exceptional skill in table tennis (men’s category), while Diya Saxena (BBA) emerged as the table tennis (women’s) champion. Anant (BBA) and Gurnat Kaur (BBA) dominated the badminton singles (men’s and women’s categories, respectively). The chess arena witnessed intense battles, with Arpit (Pharmacy) and Gehna (Nursing) claiming victory.
In track and field, Dharmendra (B.Sc.) was crowned the Best High Jumper, while Isha (Nursing) and Salman (B.Sc.) displayed immense strength in shot put. The javelin throw title was claimed by Shivam Kumar (B.Sc.) and Himani (B.Sc.), who showcased remarkable precision and power.

The event was graced by the presence of Chancellor Mr. Mukesh Gupta, Pro-Chancellor Mr Deep Gupta, Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof.Pankaj Mishra,who honored the winners with trophies, medals, and certificates. Addressing the gathering, Chancellor Mr.Mukesh Gupta said, “At Future University Bareilly, we believe that sports and academics go hand in hand. Our goal is to create well-rounded individuals who excel in all aspects of life.”
The university also presented a special memento to Nayan Mongia, recognizing his contribution to Indian cricket and his inspiring presence at the event.
