Foundation Stone Laying Ceremony Of a Unique Charitable Girls’ School by Arya Seva Girls’ Education Society (ASGES)

Kolkata- Arya Seva Girls’ Education Society (ASGES) proudly hosted the foundation stone laying ceremony of a unique Charitable Girls’ School in the name of Star Girls’ Academy; a monument initiative dedicated to Girl Child Upliftment and Women Empowerment. Since 1992, ASGES has been imparting education to girls coming from socio economic backward class and down trodden section of the society. For the last 30 years, Mrs. Krishna Kanta (founder) and Pandit Kamal Sharma (social worker) is providing all educational facilities and daily life essentials for FREE to the girls. 

At present approx 1500 girls are gaining their education with ASGES. The ceremony marked a significant step forward in the mission to empower young girls to overcome societal challanges and achieve their dreams. Distinguished guests joined the event and inspired the young minds by heartfelt speeches highlighting the transformative impact of ASGES work over the years. ASGES is imparting education to the 1st generation learners and working at grassroot level where underprivileged girls can thrive academically and personally. ASGES created many success stories so far, where many financially unstable girls became air hostesses, teachers, police officers and many more.

ASGES constantly supports the dreams of girls by providing Free Books, Free Uniform, Free Sweater, Free School bag, Free Food Packets and Free healthcare facilities. Now under the name of Star Girls’ Academy, ASGES is constructing a four storied school building at TG Road, Fatehpur, Garden Reach (near Hanuman Mandir). ASGES aims to construct the school building for overall development of underprivileged girls by seeking help from different sectors of people of our society, so that the building marks the achievement of girls on a social level.

ASGES salutes the resilience and determination of its students and remains committed to fostering a brighter future for every girl. The event concluded with a shared commitment from all present to continue supporting this noble cause, ensuring education and empowerment for every girl child.
