EPSL (a part of EESL group) and Zipbolt Forge Partnership to Boost India’s Electric Mobility and Green Energy Sectors

EPSL Trigeneration Private Limited (EPSL), subsidiary of Edina UK and part of the Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) group under India’s Ministry of Power, has entered into a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zipbolt Innovations Private Limited (ZIPL), the DPIIT-recognized clean technology startup, for providing IoT-enabled AI SaaS platform for lifecycle management solutions of EVs and Battery Energy Storage systems (BESS).

This agreement establishes a collaborative framework to promote environmental impact, energy efficiency and sustainability through knowledge exchange, cutting-edge technology deployment, and pilot project execution. With a focus on critical areas such as AI/ML SaaS for battery energy storage and electric mobility, circular recycling of batteries and solar-powered solutions, the partnership aims to deliver measurable outcomes that align with India’s climate goals.

As India continues to rapidly advance its economy, the adoption of innovative energy solutions becomes critical. EPSL, a leading player in the Trigeneration, Power and Energy Storage domain, has been instrumental in scaling energy efficiency programs like UJALA, Smart Meters, and Electric Mobility through its parent company, EESL. With EPSL’s proven expertise in implementing large-scale energy storage & e-mobility projects, combined with Zipbolt’s advanced capabilities using its IoT-enabled AI SaaS platform ZipSureAI.com, aim to enable transformative solutions in key sectors, including EV infrastructure, electric mobility, energy storage and renewable energy.

EV and Battery Intelligence using its ZipSureAI platform, ZIPL will provide actionable insights, perform energy asset health diagnostics and propose implementation measures to optimize EV and battery performance and lifecycle extension.

EV Refurbishment and Recycling of EPSL provided supply of its retired electric vehicles for retrofitment, refurbishment and battery recycling, fostering a EV second life and circular economy through Zipbolt and Ziptrax (a subsidiary of ZIPL).

EV Charging Infrastructure from EPSL and EESL group companies like CESL and establishments of solar-powered and battery-backed EV charging stations by ZIPL, at strategic locations through tie-ups with leading CPOs.

Solar plants and LED Streetlights Retrofit projects will be undertaken to equip solar streetlights with li-ion battery packs, with Verdient enhancing their energy efficiency and sustainability for LED lighting.

The companies will leverage Project Management Consultancy (PMC) capabilities to implement advanced technologies in Battery energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial applications.

With this agreement, EPSL and Zipbolt will collaborate and strengthen their commitment to advancing energy efficiency, green mobility, and climate resilience in India through pilot projects, feasibility studies, and consultancy services. Improving energy efficiency is recognized as one of the most cost-effective solutions for reducing carbon emissions and achieving sustainable development.

Speaking on the partnership, Mr. Venkatesh Dwivedi, CEO EPSL and Group ED (Projects & BD), EESL stated: “This MoU represents a significant milestone in our mission to deliver cutting-edge energy solutions and accelerate India’s transition towards a Net Zero future. By combining our green mandate with Zipbolt’s innovative approach, we aim to pioneer solutions that will not only reduce carbon emissions but also support India’s transition to a greener economy in large-scale energy efficiency and clean energy projects.”

Rohan Singh Bais, Founder & CEO of Zipbolt Innovations, added: “Through this MoU, Zipbolt brings its vision of advanced technological innovations in clean energy and ZipSureAI SaaS to a broader audience. Together with EPSL, we are setting a benchmark for sustainability-driven EV & BESS growth into new areas, such as deploying EV & Li-Ion Battery Life-extension (ESS), retrofitment and reuse of retired EVs, and establishing AI-based EV diagnostics and Recycling infrastructure.”
