Dr. Nirakar Parida Dr. Nirakar Parida, a renowned figure in mechanical engineering and senior vibration analyst, originates from the tranquil village of Baliganda in Kendrapara, Odisha. In 2002, he secured the second position in his college, a testament to his academic brilliance and determination. Choosing engineering over medicine, Dr. Parida’s fascination with technology and innovation steered him toward a Bachelor of Technology degree at Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology under Biju Patnaik University of Technology, Odisha. He embarked on his professional journey with remarkable zeal, gaining extensive experience across various industries, including education, tire manufacturing, aluminum production, and central government power sectors. His adaptability and commitment to excellence became defining traits of his career. Currently, he serves as Manager (Mechanical) at Raghunathpur Thermal Power Station, a part of Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC). DVC, first multipurpose river project of Independent India, plays a critical role in overseeing power generation, distribution, flood control, and irrigation within the Damodar Valley region. Dr. Nirakar Parida with over 17 years of experience in operations and maintenance, his expertise spans diverse areas such as plant water systems, ash and coal handling plants, maintenance planning, and the condition monitoring of rotating equipment in 500/600 MW thermal power stations.

A Certified Level-II Vibration Analyst, He has developed specialized expertise in condition monitoring, a critical aspect of ensuring the operational efficiency of large-scale power stations. His contributions in this domain have garnered widespread recognition. In acknowledgment of his achievements, He was awarded an honorary doctorate in vibration analysis by Stanford International University. He has also been conferred the prestigious Chartered Engineer designation by the Institution of Engineers (India). His accolades include the Bharat Vibhushan Puraskar 2024 and the International/Asian Excellence Award 2024, where he was recognized as the Best Engineer of the Year. He is currently enrolled in professional certification courses in project management at IIT Guwahati and a master’s program in applied mechatronics and robotics at IIT Bhilai.
