Women, the central figures of the festival, play a pivotal role by carrying exquisitely adorned idols of Goddess Parvati on their heads through the bustling streets. These idols, embellished with vibrant flowers and intricate ornaments, serve as the focal point of reverence and admiration during the procession.
Throughout the festivities, a myriad of rituals is meticulously observed, each laden with deep-rooted devotion and reverence. Among these customs, women partake in the creation of clay idols representing Parvati and Shiva, affectionately termed as “Gangaur Mata” and “Isar” respectively.
